Hello AOSA Members!

Dear friends,

I very much enjoyed being able to share with you all this week at AOSA. I wanted to let you know that I think I've come up with a workaround for the limits of sharing music notes for use in Powerpoint. I am going to try to create some transparent, malleable, cross-platform music notes to share, free of charge. This may take me a few weeks, but I will post the files here, as well as suggestions for making PowerPoint presentations with notation. If you want me to notify you when the files are done, email me and I'll keep you updated.

Dear AOSA Members,

Thank you for those of you who will attend or have already attended my sessions this week. I am grateful for the chance to share with such a talented and dedicated group of teachers!

TRIBE!!!

I am kicking off a new venture here in the Cedar Valley, known as TRIBE!

T - Team
R - Rhythm,
I - Instrument, and
B - Body
E - Ensemble

TRIBE is an eclectic music, poetry, and dance class for adults or older children. We will explore speech patterns, body percussion, creative movement, folk dance, drumming, and singing. Exploration and Improvisation will be encouraged. The goal is to create a communal, interactive artistic experience. Musical training is completely optional!

TRIBE will meet this fall on the following dates, Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:30:

September 13
September 27
October 11
October 25
November 8
November 22
December 6
